These past few years have been “GREAT BIG YEARS”, in the life of our mission.  The opening of the medical center N.C.M.C. and hiring of staff.   March 2019 marks one year of the clinic’s operations.  This has come through many gifts from God and His people…Organizations who live to love and serve our Lord and people who love God and humanity.  We have been blessed more than I could have ever dreamed…We still have challenges and growing pains, but we will succeed with God’s help and keeping Him first in all our decision-making.

Our first project began with water in 2007-2008… followed by animals, education, building of a library, providing the first computers to the school in our district ever; students who achieved full government scholarships for engineering and medical studies.  Then, we went on to complete our community medical center, not an easy task, but again, it was God who made it work for His people.

Our water donors were the catalyst to the beginning of this amazing journey and transformation of Nyakishenyi development.  Our committees and professionals on the ground, labours…all those who came together to always insure our success, their success…

During my visit this past January 2019, I met with the board members for NCMC on the ground.  We have been making much progress and the clinic is making income, but not enough to support their own salaries yet.  Today we need to find donors for $1000.00 per. month to supplement our staff salaries this coming year.  We have other avenues of support as we get fully vested and registered into specific organizations in Uganda, but until then, this year will be crucial for supporting our staff members.

We have been gifted funding for our maternity suite and to buy an ultrasound for the clinic. This too was one of those amazing God things…Once this is put into place we should be making more income.  One problem the staff have reported is that some  people do not pay and we are trying to work on that issue of how to get these people to contribute to their fees and care.  It is my opinion, no one should be turned away for lack of payment, but there needs to be a plan to pay back.  Most important is giving the best services this level of a clinic can give…

Our Clinic has a chapel and a place for community education on many health and preventative care topics and also that of spiritual support. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

Our final phase of a very large water project was also celebrated during my visit,(Commissioned).  Hundreds of tap stands and water have been supplied to this district over these years.  The impact has been that many thousands of people have received clean water.  The need for water is still there.  In the past three years, we reached many homes, schools, churches and people scattered out in the very highlands…very HIGHLANDS!!!  Our water engineer, Mr. Howard Pole, is one of the most brilliant and caring individuals I have ever met, in his field of expertise.  He has been a miracle worker mobilizing these communities.  I have to praise Him for his skills and great work.

Finally, one wish from our medical staff is to have visiting dr.’s and medical staff to help build up the clinic.  Our staff house has a very nice guest room…We pray if such a person can make this commitment to please contact me for the details of a trip to Uganda for this purpose…

At last…Thanks to all of our board members and donors on both ends of the globe…

Blessings,

Judy A. Willson, President

Great job Judy, how I pray that the lord continues to make the vision of NAM and NCMC be realised.

We appreciate the services of NCMC and pray that this facility grows bigger and gets to be registered at a level of health centre and yes, I believe with God ,this will come to happen.

    • Judy Willson says:

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!! Yes, it will!! We are a level 3 clinic currently. We had some delays that were out of our hands early on, but we kept faith and were able to overcome the delays.

    Dear Judy!

Am so glad that am part of Nyakishenyi Community Medical Centre (NCMC) as a health unit in-charge, am one of the witnesses that can honestly tell the world about the tremendous and commendable work you have done for the people of Nyakishenyi sub county under NAM.
We thank every soul that has been part of this lifesaving cause. we pray that the living God blesses you abundantly.
In a nutshell, we kindly ask every one to be part of this mission in whichever way. The seemingly minor help you give will be miraculous to someone in Nyakishenyi.
